Homecoming at South Alabama is our annual tradition to celebrate Jaguar pride and spirit! This year, Homecoming week is Oct. 21-26 and features a lineup of events, including a Friday evening bonfire, pep rally, fireworks and concert. On Saturday, there will be pre-game tailgating before the Jags football team takes on Louisiana Monroe in Hancock Whitney stadium.

Homecoming Office Decorating Contest

  • Please use this year's theme in your decorating ideas; Timeless Traditions.
  • Decorations need to be non-flammable and in compliance with fire code. Please do not block exits, cover sprinklers, or block walkways. Please contact Safety & Environmental Compliance with any questions about this topic. 
  • All decorations need to be in place and set by Friday, Oct. 18th at 5 p.m. 
  • The judging committee will make their way around campus on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The committee will be made up of students, faculty and staff. Judging will be based on:
    • Creativity 
    • Use of Homecoming Theme
    • Jag Spirit 
    • Design
  • The winners will be announced at the Bonfire & Pep Rally on Friday night. 
  • Please make sure that your supervisor/department head is aware of your participation. 
  • HAVE FUN!!!!

Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 12pm-3pm for the Pinknic Darty, a lively Homecoming event in the Student Center Amphitheater! Sponsored by the Black Student Union, in collaboration with Jaguar Productions and the Student Government Association, this event promises music, games, food, and plenty of fun. Come celebrate Homecoming in style, enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting, and make memories with your fellow Jags! Don鈥檛 miss out on this exciting afternoon of campus spirit and community.
