Theatre Âé¶¹Ïà¹Ø±¨µÀis housed in the Âé¶¹Ïà¹Ø±¨µÀ’s Department of Theatre and Dance. Theatre Âé¶¹Ïà¹Ø±¨µÀpresents a season of four productions annually, two in each semester. For both the Âé¶¹Ïà¹Ø±¨µÀ community and beyond, Theatre Âé¶¹Ïà¹Ø±¨µÀprovides wide-ranging, exciting seasons of quality theatre that serve both to entertain and educate, focused ultimately on a greater understanding of the human experience. Students at South can both major and minor in drama. However, all students are invited to audition for Theatre USA.

â–¼   Auditions
Auditions for Theatre Âé¶¹Ïà¹Ø±¨µÀare always open to all South students, and occasionally to the public. Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester for that semester's two shows, traditionally in the evening of the first day of classes. Different shows have different auditions requirements, but all generally include a prepared monologue and call-backs later during the audition week. The Âé¶¹Ïà¹Ø±¨µÀ’s Department of Theatre and Dance continually accepts applications from local artists for adjunct positions. Minimum requirements include a graduate degree in the field. For more information, please contact theatre@southalabama.edu.
